    Dear Diary

    Since I was so lucky and won 1000 Swagbucks a while ago, I thought I should give back to our community and start a detailed stake diary :yum:.

    I’m gonna use a budget vps at alpharacks.com (hope you do not mind me using my affiliate link), That I bought a few months ago (finally i can use it for something :wink: ), that way I can stake 24/7 without having to have my computer at home on all the time.

    EDIT: They also accept Bitcoin as payment which is a plus

    My VPS have this specs:

    • Dedicated RAM: 256MB
    • vSwap: 512MB
    • HW RAID10 HDD (Storage): 25GB
    • Premium Bandwidth: 500GB
    • CPU Cores: 2 Cores
    • IPv4 Space: 1 IP
    • Public Uplink: 1000Mbps

    The cheapest VPS with minimum specs they seem to sell now have 50 GB instead of 25 GB, but otherwise they seem to be alike.

    When you bought your VPS you will shortly receive an email with your VPS information,

    Open it and look for
    VPS Control Panel
    Panel URL (http): http://vpscp.alpharacks.com:5353/
    Panel URL (https): https://vpscp.alpharacks.com:5656/
    Username: ****************
    Password: ****************

    Log in http://vpscp.alpharacks.com:5353/ with your Username and Password.

    Click on your vps and scroll down untill you se some links, click at Reinstall --> select ubuntu-14.04-x86_64-minimal then reinstall again (We just need the essentials from ubuntu)

    apt-get update
    apt-get install sudo
    sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
    sudo apt-get install libdb+±dev

    compile swagbucksd on another computer or downlad here and copy it to /usr/local/bin on your vps and

    chmod it to 0775
    swagbucksd

    Error: To use swagbucksd, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
    /root/.swagbucks/swagbucks.conf
    It is recommended you use the following random password:
    rpcuser=swagbucksrpc
    rpcpassword=CQxLKwS3taM5KXuF9RxfiPtaAYpstL6VgAsQFeyJmPwN
    (you do not need to remember this password)
    The username and password MUST NOT be the same.
    If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.
    It is also recommended to set alertnotify so you are notified of problems;
    for example: alertnotify=echo %s | mail -s “SwagBucks Alert” admin@foo.com

    cd ~/
    cd /root/.swagbucks/

    nano swagbucks.conf

    rpcuser=something
    rpcpassword=something
    server=1
    deamon=1
    addnode=104.223.1.108
    addnode=192.99.62.23
    addnode=103.253.43.162
    addnode=45.32.235.33
    addnode=59.100.29.2
    addnode=91.134.233.254
    addnode=107.181.152.219
    addnode=107.181.152.217
    addnode=107.181.152.12
    addnode=5.189.144.97
    addnode=104.223.1.109

    swagbucksd encryptwallet “longpassword”

    Now your wallet is encrypted so no one can take your coins

    to send coins you have to enter

    swagbucksd walletpassphrase “longpassword” 350 (seconds you want it to be unlucked

    now enter

    swagbucksd getaccountaddress

    to get a new wallet address

    i got address SYrfEMvC471qL5cLTgrBrKgyvxKzmvDCEf

    now joust wait for our blockchain to download, then we gonna send our coins to our new SwagBucks address.

    I will send my 1000 Swagbucks divided into 25 coins per transaction

    I’m doing it from a windows-qt so it will enter this 40 times :bowtie:

    sendtoaddress SYrfEMvC471qL5cLTgrBrKgyvxKzmvDCEf 25

    Now i just have to wait for 51 confirmations, then I’m in the race for sweet stakes :yum:

    :sparkles: IANARS — I know the text is a mess, help me instead of pointing out. See it as a work in progress :innocent: :sparkles:

    TO BE CONTINUED

  • 1

    Wonderful I just got my first stake :tongue:

  • 2

    That was quick :open_mouth: , lucky you :yum: and really great initiative to start a stake dairy :+1: :metal: :v:

  • 3

    And what is the percentage of POS now?

  • 4

    Right now presstab.pw is showing 309 % right now, but it’s hard to say and a bit complicated.

    SwagBucks don’t have a fixed POS %, instead each block have a fixed reward of 1 BUCKS.

    Hope it is enough as answer for the moment :relaxed: . Will explain more in detail another time.
